About Us
This website was created for, and inspired by the upcoming union of Sharon Williamson
and Mike Bouchard.
We've always felt that our wedding would be something different from what most people
would expect when they find out a wedding is happening. Cake, flowers, a dress, church, colour schemes, bridesmaids, dinner reception, and MAILING INVITATIONS, well that just never
seemed like us.
What we envisioned was something that showed our families what our lives have meant
to one other, how we came together, and how we hope to lead the rest of our lives.
One part of that, is the way we are conducting our ceremony. We've rented an entire
luxury car on the old steam train to Wakefield for our close family members only,
since we felt is was a fine example of the beautiful surroundings of where we've
chosen to settle down and build our lives together.
We're so pleased that our ceremony will be conducted by our good friend, Todd Snelgrove.
Making our vows to one another in the presence of a dear friend means so much more
to us than it would in front of a hired stranger. Thank you Todd.
After the ceremony, as any wedding celebration should go, we've planned a party for all of our loved ones. Which is where you come in! For the entertainment, we've invited one of the bands that we experienced together early on in our courtship that stuck with us musically, The Sisters Euclid from Toronto.
Another piece of our connection is related to a fabulous restaurant in Ottawa,
Stoneface Dolly's. This is a place
near the apartment that Sharon originally lived in
when we first met, and where we have spent so many Sunday brunch's together. Stoneface
Dolly's is also where we spent our first and several subsequent
Valentine's days
sipping fabulous wine, eating incredible food and staring into each others eyes. Since then, owner Bob has treated
us like family, and he has obliged us with our request that he shares his wonderful
culinary skills with all of you.
So what is the point of this website? Well, we just had an idea that this would
be a unique and memorable way to allow our guests to easily RSVP to an invite without
using the mail system. As well, this will serve as a place to hold our memories
from the evening as we can post links to our photos for you all to enjoy.
Please accept our invitation to spend this memorable evening with us. We hope
to see you soon.
With
all our love,
Mike and Sharon
